I would like to start seeing my child again. It's been a year since I seen my child or paid child support due to the fact that I just had another child with my wife and things have been hectic with the new baby. During that, I was wrong and had not called the mother to see my child to seek visitation (court ordered already). Now, she has changed her number and moved and I can't find her. I know she is still in state I just don't know where. I want to start seeing my child so my daughter can get to know her older sibling , how can I go about doing this? Thanks for the advice

You are going to have to locate mom and the child so that you can serve mom with paperwork regarding visitation. You will also have to deal with the fact that you have not paid the court ordered child support for a year.

Why haven't you been paying child support?

That aside, you need to (obviously) locate Mom before you can even attempt visitation.

Expect Mom to fire back and request limited visitation since you haven't seen the child in over a year.

Wouldn't it be nice if custodial parents can just decide to up and not have anything to do with their kids for a year? How old is this child and how do you expect to explain yourself to her? Something akin to.. sorry, but my new wife and our new baby were more important than maintaining a relationship with you, but hopefully things don't get hectic again and I don't have to stop being bothered with you again.

First off, that was a cop out. You weren't pregnant. Your wife was. Second, I had TWO children that were living in two seperate homes, while I was pregnant for three years (yeah, you read that right) and I still saw my two older children SIX times a week.

You didn't see your child because you were just plain lazy and uncaring.

You may want to look into hiring a private investigator to find mom so you can apologize to your daughter for not being there for her emotionally and financially.

So why did you bring another child into this world when you couldn't support or see your FIRST child? Your first child should have been your priority. If you couldn't take care of that child you had no business bringing more into the world.

So is it because you had another baby you all the sudden want to play daddy again? How sad it is going to be for this child when she realizes while you were busy ignoring them you went off and played daddy with another baby.

So why did you have another child when you couldn't support and take care of your first one?

Either knock on every door in your state looking for mom, or hire a private investigator.

Call CSE. Tell them that you have a court order for support and that you wish to start paying the full amount, and paying on the arrears.

Visitation is a separate matter. As has been advised, you'll have to find Mom.

You will need to find them first. How busy can two adults be with one baby? You couldn't even pick up the phone and make a phone call? How does that work, when the childs birthday comes around? Or Christmas?

That's very sad. Does Mom have family in the area that you can call, apologize, and request they have Mom get in touch with you?

Ok...then make arrangements to cover your child support and do what you need to do locate your child and restart visitation.
