An 84Toyota RV was inspected days before I rented it. 3000 miles later I replaced the front tires, they were unsafe.7500 miles into the trip the left front brake assembly fell off the truck. The Sears Auto Ctr in Jaynesville, WI fixed the brakes. They seriously recommended replacing the 4 rear tires, which I did.The mechanic said that this vehicle couldn't possibly have passed a motor vehicle safety inspection 7500 miles prior to arriving in their shop. My mechanic in New York agreed. I'm concerned that this vehicle may have been unsafe when I rented it. if so, who's at fault, and was that criminal behavior?
