What is the name of your state? Mass.

I live in a condo and the apartment above me is leaking from above the bathroom area. I contacted the owners after calling the association .The association said it is the people above me responsiblity to repair the leak.
The leak has been going on for months and the owner said he will take care
of it. Its been almost a year since he told me that and its still leaking. He did tell me that the contractor he had before is no longer with the association
and he wanted the association to recommend a contractor and pay for the repairs and have it guarnateed. But that was almost a year ago . I am stuck
as to what my next step is. Friends advised me to get a lawyer to make a legal letter. I own the condo unit.

**A: hire the lawyer that you should hired a year ago to send a hammer letter to the unit owner and the HOA.
