well, well, well... it appears that this WILL have a happy ending... the manufacturer, having received their product back, and discovering the part WAS, in fact, DEFECTIVE... has decided to HONOR MY CLAIM!!!
Which means... they are going to pay for the repairs to my vehicle.
The moral to this story??? The only thing that beats a FAILURE... is to TRY
