If someone has been accessing my web-based e-mail (yahoo, hotmail, etc.) by using my user name and password is that illegal? Are there any laws against this? I believe someone may have done this because someone received an e-mail from my account that I know I didn't send. Am I out of luck? What can I do? Can this be proven?

Read the disclaimers on the use. You are better secured if you actually pay for an email account instead of using the freebies.
