I have two web sites that are under currently under construction and every day there is a different company that advertises their product. Everything from toys, to cell phones, to insurance have had exposure on my web sites. Is this legal, and if not, what is my recourse and who do I contact?....Regards, egwick, NY...

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

I am not sure what you mean by advertising -- because web pages under construction should only say under construction -- all other stuff should be going on on back door pages.

Basically, if you people/companies are squatting, then you need to locate them by using their contact numbers or even doing a networksolutions.com search and go under who is. Then write a cease and desist letter and go from there.

You can probably find such a letter under forms above or bookstore.
