What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MI

Hello,

I am building a website which will provide information services. I would like this web site to operate as a business. I formed LLC in my state. Is there anything I need to do to formally "place" this website in my LLC or assign it in my LLC? There has to be some kind of legal mechanism which would formally assign website operations to an LLC, but I can not find anythign on web. Search gives me all kinds of results for transfering real estate property to an LLC via deed. Would I follow the same mechanism to assign web site operation to an LLC?

I would like to limit my personal liability exposure to issues that may come from my website operations.

Thank you.

Yes, take your paperwork from the state. Obtain an EIN from the IRS. Take the EIN letter and your state paperwork to a bank and open an account in the name of the LLC. Pay for all expenses relating to the site with the money from the LLC's account and register or transfer the domain into the name of the LLC.
