I'm writing a book on when relationships come to an end. In my book I refer to joining various websites to meet other people. On a particular website I posed a question on the forum. It was very general question and people aired their views for or against. I mentioned that I have been researching the topic - which is not altogether true but not altogether false.

I member keeps emailing me threatening to report me to the CPE ethics committee! I only went on the website for fun and did not intend to use any info as research.. Does anyone know if I should take this is as serious or not?
