What is the name of your state? sc can someone tell me where to find the info on which states are anti-deficiency states on purchase money mortgages ?

i found the answer to my question on enotes.com ...under real estate buying and selling/mortgages....if anyone else wants the same info thats where to go.....

Went to the enotes.com site. Found an explanation for this law, but did not see a list of states that have this law. Can you further direct me...Thank you

been a few days since i was there but i believe i found it under real estate-buying and selling....i know it explained the laws and i scrolled on down and found a lot more info on states laws..i hope this helps.

Sorry Rik, but NC very much does allow deficiency judgements. There is a section that says if the bank ends up being the purchaser at foreclosure that you can challenge their deficiency that they paid less than the fair value and hence aren't eligible for the judgement.
