I live in Virginia, in 1989 I was 16 years old and I had a little boy, my parents adoptedhim. He has been raised to know that I am his mother and I have always had a part in his life. My mother and I have stopped speaking now for two years and she refuses to let him come see me when he asks to. He is not doing well in school and is having problems behaving. Do I have any rights to see him? If I were to persue this any further , like in court , would I have a chance? He also lives in VA. I hope you can help me !! Thanks A Lot.

You could try for non parental visitation, but who knows how it will end up. You may spend a lot of time and money for little, nothing, or exactly what you want. You are no longer legally this childs parent. You could obtain an attorney and fight for non parental visitation, it will probably be minimal...

Good luck!
