We recently purchased a two story true modular home and to make a long story short closed on the construction loan before the house was completed. A very bad thing to do I now understand that. My question is as soon as I realized that I had a problem I have been trying to contact the mortgage company to no avail. They now are completely aware of the situation- that the broker told us to close that we would have to pay extra charges if we did not and that he knew that the home was not completed and the appraiser did a final appraisal on the home stating that is was complete. The home is no where near being complete flooring and plumbing is not finished and now we have issues with the roof buckling. Now that the mortgage company has finally acknowledged the fact that their broker screwed up - what should I expect to happen here?
