What is the name of your state? Tennessee
I purchased my first home less than a year ago. The previous owner mentioned that there was a problem with mold from another unit but it had been cleaned. this was a partial truth. 2 months after moving in, i came home to the strong smell of mold, there is black mold on the floor, i tested, i am on the crawl space and found out that the association were aware of the mold under my unit, ,they installed fans that i discovered i was paying electricity for. They send out newsletter in Nov 03 noting returning mold, ALL MEMBERS ON THE BOARD AT THAT TIME put their homes up for sale in spring 2004, and all sold and moved out. I am experiencing sore throat and chest irritations. I do not have money for big law suit. Did I have recourse against previous owner? I cannot do the same to someone else, nor can i afford to move out as my payments are high and well, this is a nightmare.
thanks
