What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Mo
I was raped and druged. When I tried to make a report the officers laghed at me and told me that if I had been at home and at a bar that this would not have happend to me. They refused to help me and would not take a report or any thing. Can I sue them and get them fired?

Um. No.

But what you CAN do is go to the police station yourself to make a report, and file a formal complaint against the officers in question while you are there.

As a general rule, police have to make a quick judgment as to the reliability of a victim's statement and decide whether or not a report would do any. However, it was pretty arrogant of them not to take one anyway, since ultimately, it would be up to the detectives and not the patrol officers, to made the determination of whether or not there is sufficient cause and evidence to pursue a case.

Sandy, one minor correction. She can sue. She can sue whomever she pleases;)
