What is the name of your state?TX

My husband wants to file for visitation for the 1st time. I found out that is called Standard Possession Order. What I'm wondering is: we live over 300 miles apart do we file in our count or the county she lives in?

In a modification of a prior final order involving children, the case can be transferred to and heard in the county of the current residence of the child. Plan on traveling to Mom's county...it would almost certainly be a waste of time/money to file in your county unless you're sure Mom won't object to her making the trip.
