What is the name of your state? Missouri
I was divorced in St. Louis County Missouri. This court is notorious for being extremely gender biased against men. I was divorced in 1996 and made every child support and maintenance payment incurring considerable debt while doing so. Meanwhile my ex spouse was putting that maintenance payment into a 401K.
When my youngest daughter was emancipated I filed to modify spousal support to zero. My ex was making more money and I am making less than at the time of the divorce.
She provided perjures information on her financial statements failing to disclose the 401K and a pension she cashed out. She filed a counter motion stating she was unemployed due to health reasons. A subpoena of her employment records showed that she had resigned without cause, cashed in her pension and rolled over her 401K. I have taken substantial money out of my 401K to pay maintenance and child support.
At the trial my lawyer had not subpoened her financial records. Her financial statement did not make sense. They showed she was spending more each month than she was making yet she has no debt. It is obvious she is getting money from someone or printing it herself.
Yet, the judge ruled that I should be making more money and reduced my maintenance by only $41.00 per month. She stated she would not work on weekends or nights to make more money.
I have read the Missouri statutes and this judge ignored the law.
What can I do? I own property in another Missouri county. Can I file a motion in that county to away from the bias of the Family Court of St. Louis County? I continue to do the right thing while she perjures herself and I wind up losing in this court. What is wrong?
