well, an item purporting to be a Twinkie is now available. It's kind of a mini version.

The seller would know because they are the ones in charge of manufacturing the product and they told me that they "decided" to stop making all their furniture with the heating feature.
While I understand that companies can and do go out of business and are no longer around to provide warranty on their products, but in my particular situation, the company hasn't gone out of business and continues to operate.
The only reason why I bought this specific furniture is because it was the only model that I could find looking through multiple retail stores that offered a combination power recline + heat + reading lamps + vibration. There was not any other model for sale with this exact combination and had this model only been available with all the same features less the heat, I would have never bought it.
I'm not convinced the seller has the ability to see into the future.
Some of my favorite "scientific" experiments were conducted on the Twinkie in 1995 by Rice University students Chris Gouge and Todd Stadler. Called The T.W.I.N.K.I.E. Project, the experiments can be located on a web archive search of www.owlnet.rice.edu/~gouge.twinkies.* The "Haiku" version is especially impressive.
*I can't get a link to work
apparently you have never owned a Yugo.
The car where somebody in Yugoslavia saw a Rabbit and said 'We can build that!'![]()
Ya, that's the one.
The problem:
they were wrong... really really wrong.
the point being;
if you have ever owned a Yugo, and God bless your soul you if you owned more than one and had not committed vehicular homicide (where you kill your car, not somebody else using your car) you knew that every Yugo you would ever run across was going to be..um.. deficient in some way.
this one?

I'm sorry, but every time I see the subject heading of this thread, I can't help thinking, "Well, you might try pairing it with an armchair in a nice grenadine, with throw pillows in a matching lemon".
Nope. I owned a Rabbit. And now have another.![]()
I think it was a Yugo that was picked up in the wind and blown off the Mackinac Bridge many years ago (with unhappy results).
well, I can hardly blame that on the Yugo:

that is a very interesting bridge to drive on. Love the iron grates so you can watch the water as you drive across.
and were you referring to this Yugo?

didn't realize it but in that article, apparently you can have a bridge employee drive your car across the bridge should you have that much if an issue.
