It sounds like you have a character set issue. My guess is that K'or is what your software is displaying while reading a brief.

Plaintiff is often represented by a Pi character (from high school math - 3.1415927...) , and the defendant is represented by a delta character (looks like a little triangle) . Since these are not normal keyboard characters, they get stored differently.

"contract" can be represented by the letter K. K'or could be sloppy short-hand for contractor.
