What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NV

Hello, and thank you for your help. I am a long time reader, but I do not post often. I would appreciate some advice on NV, and if you have experience with NV CSE, it would be great to hear from you. Wileybunch, I think you may have more advice, as I have seen you post on NV.

I have an order for child support in NV.

The children and I do not reside in NV.

Arrears are over 20K

There is no wage garnishment at this time, apparently, NCP is working for cash or is not working.

NCP, dad, has not paid anything, not one cent, since the onset of the order in NV.

The last hearing for enforcement suspended his Driver's License. This occurred in the summer.

I am not on any public aid, (knocking on wood).

Questions:
I have left messages with the caseworker, as to what is the next step in the case, but no one returns my call. Since, I am out of state, I can't easily go down to a courthouse, and file a motion to show cause for contempt. What can I do to spur CSE into some action?????

Despite all the angry admonitions by the judge the NCP does nothing, and his only actions in all these years are empty promises.

I am assuming that because I don't live in the state, and am not seeking public assistance that my case is not a priority.

I do realize that some parents never care for their children, never try to have a relationship, and never pay CS. But, it is my duty as a parent to do all that I can to see to enforcement.

What can I do to get CSE to take notice of my case? What are the protocols that CSE in NV takes when cases get to this point? When will CSE file a motion to show cause for contempt?

Thank you for your legal minded thoughts.

There may not be a whole lot more that the CSE can do. He has no wages to garnish, therefore they can't do that. He probably has no bank accounts to levy and probably doesn't have a tax return to seize.

They have already suspended his driver's license and that didn't spur him to pay.

About the only think left for them to try is to get a warrant for his arrest, so that he ends up having to pay a purge, and that might already be in the works.

Honestly, if you have a parent who is absolutely determined NOT to pay child support, its difficult for anyone to force that parent to pay. The parents who are that determined not to pay, don't seem to care about how much damage they do to their own financial lives and credit...or whether they are earning any social security credits so that they will have any SS benefits when they retire or get disabled.

I know you are right

As I posted in my first thread, I realize he may never pay. BUT, I would like to see the CSE
pursue a motion to show cause.
They have not done anything with my case in quite a while.

What do I need to do to get the CSE's attention?
