What is the name of your state? CO

This isn't really about discrimination or harrasment, but I couldn't find a better spot for this.

More fun where my husband works. He works for a private restaurant. No HR, no hiring manager, nothing... just a few office workers, servers, my husband (banquet coordinator), and the owners. The owners are making my husband very uncomfortable. The make sexist and racial comments all day. Not ABOUT my husband, but to him in conversation. They refer to older women as "old f*ing broads", tell my husband to try and push the chicken dinners if a group of people booking a party are POC, because "it's not fried chicken, but it's the closest we've got. So they'll have to take it. No watermelon either!"

My husband is trying to find another job, but not having much luck. I know if this was a regular company he could speak to HR, or a different manager, etc... but these are the owners? Is there anything he can do aside from suck it up and keep looking for another place to work? Where can people turn to when the problem is with the owners?

He is looking for another job, but the environment where he's working now is very bad. Wouldn't that be considered hostile? Or maybe I'm still confused about what constitutes a hostile environment? If there's nothing that can be done, then there isn't... we were just hoping there was something that could be done so he could work in relative peace until he leaves.

Thank you :)

As opposed to people lacking color, you know those damn transparent ones :D

Physics 101: White is the abundence of color, every color in the spectrum.

Black is the absence of color as in void.

If you are a person of color, that percludes you from being black.

Except of course in the printing industry where black is comprised of all the colors -- cyan, magenta and yellow... :D

again, back to physics(or more specificly, reflective properties). In black printer's ink the reflective property is 0%, in layman's terms, black (or the combination that makes up black) absorbs no color thereby causing the eyes to not see such (reflective properties).

In contrast, white absorbs all color and that reflective property, seen and recognized by the eyes, is 100%.

Of course, i only owned a newspaper for a few years ;)
