What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oregon
The other day, I sent my ex a text message, letting him know what I thought of his selfishness. The text read: This appointment was supposed to be for you and I to talk to Dr. XXX alone. By bringing our daughter, you manipulated the situation so that she would feel guilty for costing you money. Money that will not come out of your pocket! The arrears belong to the children; NOT YOU. You have sunk to a new level of LOW
Later that afternoon, I called my daughter because she had another doctor's appointment to go to that afternoon. I wanted to be sure she did not miss the appointment. She confirmed her dad was taking her but... lit into me over the text message I'd sent her dad (he showed it to her). I won't go into the discussion we had over this other than to say I told her I was sorry she'd seen the message and that it was supposed to have been private; between me and her dad.
Next day: I sent another text message to ex, stating that I'd received a message from daughter's doctor's office that there was confusion about the scheduling on the previous day. I asked that he please reschedule in 10 days and included the phone number (as a courtesy) for the doctor's office.
He replied, saying it was because I'd given him wrong information and that it was being handled. Then he added that going forward, I was not to contact him unless it was for an emergency and if I did not stop, he'd file a RO to make me stop.
I laughed out loud at the ridiculousness of it all but looked up online to see if he actually COULD file a RO. I seriously doubt it, but I found information about Stalking Orders, which are a little different.
I've reviewed all my emails (I keep everything!) and text messages to ex and aside from the one "zinger" I sent the other day about the braces, they are all innocuous (usually scheduling info for counseling or something else relating to kids) and occur only once or twice a month.
Is he just blowing smoke, or should I be prepared to be served?
