I recently bought a 2000 Honda Accord from a friend of a friend in Vermont. He resides there, and the purchase took place there and the car has a Vermont title. I noticed the first day, that the first gear change was delayed. I thought to myself, maybe it needs a tune up or oil change. I am no mechanic so I have no clue. The slipping continued and didn't change. 5 days later I took the vehicle for an oil change, and I was informed I had a oil leak and the oil pan needs to be replaced. This is not the issue at hand. I thought the transmission was going because of the slipping and I looked it up online and transmission failure was described as to what was happening. I took it for inspection today, (6 days later), and it failed for emissions and a few other things. I took it to "SPARTAN" to get confirmation of the problem and sure enough, they told me the Transmission is no good. The seller of the vehicle did not inform of this, because if he had I surely would not of bought a car I would have to put $2,600 into, in top of the $2000 I paid for it. It has high mileage so I figured $2000 was reasonable, with minor problems here and there. Transmission is NOT a minor problem! On the bill of sale it was titled, sold as is to ect...I spoke to the guy who sold it to me after and told him the transmission is going and how did he not know this, if he is a mechanic? He claims that everything was fine, which I know is Bull****. He also says to me well since I wrote on the bill of sale sold AS IS, in court they would not make him pay for anything and it would all be on me.
