What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

In June 2014 my divorce was finalized. My ex-husband was ordered to pay me spousal support.
In May 2015 he became a SHE (legally).
In June 2015 she broke her ankle and stopped paying support. She went back to work on the 1st of September, but has not resumed payments.
When I confronted her, she told me she had other bills to pay and would pay me "in a couple months". On her personal (public) blog, she repeated this.
So I am going to take her to court, but I have to do it all on my own because spousal support has been my only income (disability case in progress) and I am absolutely broke.

Here's my dilemma:

When filling out the paperwork, do I use my ex's name/gender from the divorce papers - or her new name/gender?

I would use "FKA" and/or "NKA," as appropriate. For example:

Respondent: Bill Jones, NKA Susie Watts

Ms. Watts (FKA Bill Jones) has violated our alimony agreement by not paying for the months of July and August...

Something like that.

The judge might feel sorry for that "poor woman".

I have a similar situation. My divorce papers say "John Smith". Two years after the divorce my ex filed paperwork with the courts with copies of her legal change of name. Until then, the paperwork says "John Smith aka Jane Smith". After the legal name change was registered with the courts, the paperwork says "Jane Smith aka John Smith". I imagine it's not too different from someone who remarries and changes their last name.
