I live in Texas. A cc debt colector sent me papers last year. I filed answer that denied debt. I have reciced two notices of dismial from court but both times they filed for more time. This time a trial date was set and i never filed for discovery. What can i do now?

If you owe the debt, paying it off is the best thing to do (perhaps negotiating and settling with the collector for less than what is owed).

If you do not owe the debt and wish to challenge this in court, you could hire an attorney to assist you (recommended) or you can brush up on the Rules of Civil Procedure.

Here is a link to the Rules: http://www.txcourts.gov/media/1084233/Texas-Rules-of-Civil-Procedure.pdf

You might want to read through the "Sticky" note at the top of Debt Collection forum threads. You might find the information provided helpful.

Good luck.
