Just found out that I have an 11 yr old daughter and she was adopted while i was in Germany serving a tour with the Army.10 years after my discharge the mother tells me that I have a girl and she is adopted and another father was listed on the birth certificate.I live in wisconsin and the adoptive family lives in Minnesota. Was wondering if there was anything I could do to regain my parental rights as I would love to get to know the girl.I have also heard of abuse in the family and the mother has received notes from her describing the abuse as she was allowed to visit.

You need to see an attorney.

This is tricky. If bio-mom calls CPS and involves them and tells them how she knows, she could be prevented from seeing the child again by the parents.

DRINK AND DIAL
A drunk went into a telephone booth and dialed at random.

"Salvation Army," was the answer.

"What do you do?" asked the man.

"We save wicked men and women," came the reply.

"Okay, save me a wicked woman for Saturday night."

NEWLYFED UP
Ani, the new bride, went crying to her mother.

"Momma, I can't get Neil to do anything. I want him to fix up the house, and he keeps putting it off."

"Honey," her mother replied, "after being married to your father for six years, I've found the only way to get him to do anything is to tell him he's too old."

BOY OH BOY!
Joey's teacher send a note home to his mother saying, "Joey seems to be a very bright boy, but spends too much of his time thinking about sex and girls."

Joey's mother wrote back the very next day, "If you find a solution, please advise. I have the same problem with his father."
