We have been married for 18 1/2 years-my husband filed but it was agreed that we both wanted the divorce. The house we live in was his when we married and he had it 42% paid for. SO I'm only getting half of whats been paid for since our marriage. But I have kept children in our home for the last 10 years so when I loose the house I loose a place to live and my job.He says he's not going to pay alimony. Is he reguired ? I need at least temporary if nothing else. I live in Georgia- what's he reguired to do ?

I don't understand how losing the house means you lose the job????


Anyway, alimony is not required as it used to be. Today, women work and have their own incomes. As for your situation with no job, here is the law on alimony:

I loose my job because I keep children in my home. He gets the house- I no longer have a place to do my job.
