What is the name of your state? Oregon

I had my 341 meeting this morning. The trustee just asked the normal questions, plus a couple that weren't a big deal. And I watched him write N/A on the outside of my file when I was leaving the table. SO, when can I give that big sigh of relief?
Is it basically over or can they still try to put me in chapter 13 or mess with it some other way?
I've been so stressed about this for ever, that I don't want to prematurely think its over when its not!

As long as you did everything correctly throughout the filing of your bankruptcy, I wouldn't worry about it. Did you have a bk lawyer deal with your case?

You should be OK. Creditors have 60 days from the 341 to file a written objection. Very few will so your discharge should be a short time after that 60 day period.

Thanks!!!

I filed with an attorney, glad I did as it relieved some of the stress. 2 questions, which I will ask my lawyer when I get a chance.

1. Is it okay to add an additional line onto my cell phone and get another cell phone as we do not have a home phone and having only 1 cell phone is not working as our schedules are drastically different and it leaves one of us without a phone alot of the time, it would be about $30.00 more a month.

Or do I need to wait until after the discharge?

Or should I just have my boyfriend get his own cell in his name which is okay but we wouldn't be sharing minutes?

2. The trustee didn't say anything about my tax refund, I don't normally get very much. Does that mean they won't want it when I file next year?

I've been reading these boards for months and I want to say that some people are so helpful and I geve you props for taking time out to try and help people!!

Yeah, you can start living again. Go ahead and add the cell if that's what you want to do.
sually, if the trustee wants your tax refund, they'll tell you at the 341.

Thanks Again!

Thanks for the quick reply. You are one of the people that I have noticed that is helpful and not snide or sarcastic. Keep up the good work :) :)
