What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pennsylvania.

My 21 year old son's girlfriend moved in to my home, because she was kicked out of her mother's house. She's 18 and still in high school.

At what point in time does she become a "tenant" under the law? If she stays for a month or more, would I have to issue an eviction notice to get her out??

Please help ASAP!

Since you allowed it to happen ,yes .

And why not tell them both to rent their own place ?

My son didn't even ASK me, just told me she moved in (long story); my son only works part time, she doesn't work at all . . .

She hasn't changed her mailing address yet, I think . . .

If I allow her to stay LESS than 30 days, does the tenant law apply!?!?!

If it's been less that two weeks and you do not want her there ,tell her she can not live there and must vacate .If she refuses and you want her out ,call the Law .

If she or your son states she has no where to go ,tell her to go to the welfare office for emergency assistances .
