What is the name of your state? ARIZONA

I was released 11/12/2004 from my employer.

1. I was given NO REASON for termination.

2. Please tell me when I should expect to be PAID, is their any legal rights I have in regard to when (time period) they must pay?

3. I started work for this company on 11/17/2003 and was terminated 11/12/2004 with 5 vacation days left in queue that I was to be paid on. Am I entitled to being paid for these days?

Thank you...

1. They don't have to give you a reason.

2. AZ regulations require that final pay be provided the earlier of 3 days or the next pay day.

e. AZ requires that final wages include vacation pay when vacation pay is promised under a company policy or practice.

Thank you....

1. Therefore I should receive a paycheck post marked no later than tomorrow November 17th? Correct? If not what actions should/can I take?

2. I have not read anything that says I should not be paid the vacatoion days but I do see that no bonus or profit sharing will be applicable. I assume since one is explicit and the other one is made no mention of I should get paid.

Thanks.

1. If you don't receive your final pay, you may contact AZ's Department of Labor and file a complaint.

2. Huh? Just the opposite is true. AZ laws require that if an employer has a policy or practice of paying vacation upon termination, then they have to pay it. In the absence of an explicit statement saying they won't pay it out, they aren't obligated to do so.
