Back ground:
I live in CO.
My son was living in UT & his wife in MO. My DIL sent the 2 boys to live in UT with my son. My son got into legal trouble and the state took the boys. I came to UT to get custody of the boys. The judge granted me custody of the boys(has my DIL did not show up in court) and said that my son could petition the courts in CO, after his criminal case was resolved, he got and kept a job & he completed an anger management course.
Meanwhile my DIL kick out her daughter and removed her from school and never re-enrolled her. When I found out, I got the state of MO involved and my DIL signed over her daughter to me.
I now have all 3 grandkids. My DIL then wants to see her kids for a visit. She says she is off drugs, has a job and a house. I varify her job at a nursing home, so I know they do drug testing, so I believe her.
I send out her daughter and the younger son, with the older son to visit later on.
After 2 days, my granddaughter is picked up by police in MO for curfew violation and cps says they need to come back to me, but they release her to my DIL, with arrangement for them to send them back home in 2 days.
Well, my DIL took off and no one knows where she is, she took off with my grandkids against court orders.
I was first told that if they did not find her by tomorrow, they would call the FBI on kidnapping charges.
Then the pull a 360 and say it's not their jurisdiction and I have to go court to get them back!!!
I already went to court so I don't get this.
The judge in UT says they have to honor their court order, but I'm getting nowhere with that and I have sent them copies of all the court papers.
Which state do I need to file in. I live in CO as do the 3 kids. My granddaughter has a job here and all have been enrolled in school here.
The 2 boys court orders are from UT and my granddaughter are from MO.
But they were visiting & I believe still somewhere in the state of MO. Which state court do I go to???
Please help and fast.
