What is the name of your state? Florida

I had a discrepancy with a property owner a little over two years ago. Back then, I didn’t have the confidence to take him to small claims court, but I can’t let it go to this day. The problem is the property was sold about a year ago. Do I still file suit against the original property owner or the new one.. Does liability transfer over with the sale? It is all lease related.

Thanks

I believe the statute of limitations for contracts in Florida is 3 years. I might be getting really close to the deadline. If I file my complaint one day before the 3 years (if I am correct), the case will be heard, correct???
