What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

I have a condominium which I rent out. Recently, my tenant reported to my property managament company that there was a foul smell in the unit. Through Bio and Remediation companies it was determined that mold existed. The cause of the mold was determined to be caused from a broken faucet on the exterior or the building (which had previously been worked on by the HOA).

Upon determining the cause, the HOA imediately (same day) came to the building and repaired the faucet. They however stated they are not responsible for the interior damage (interior is owners responsibility) remediation and repair.

Who is responsible for the interior, me or the HOA since the damage was caused by something they maintained.

**Renter is also claiming illness from mold (doctor documentation and all).

Thank you for your input.
