What is the name of your state? CA
I've just bought this condo 2 months ago. Last week , the HOA sent letters to 30 unit family request each family to pay $6,000 to fix the roof. The water fr. the roof get into some units and caused damaged. Even though, the old home owner sell the house " AS IS" but he didnot disclose this information to me. Who is responsible for this fee ? Does it matter if the old owner know this issue before he tried to sell the house? Who should I contact to solve this issue?

**A: YOU as the condo owner are responsible. You could go after the seller though. Next time hire a better Realtor.
