Marietta, GA (only U.S. law)?
My sister went to her on/off again boyfriends house and another woman was there. while my sister was arguing with the boyfriend about the girl the girl comes up behind my sister and pulls her hair, my sister then turns around and begin fighting the girl. My sister said after the boyfriend broke the fight up, she left and went to a friend's house. the next morning when she went home two police officers with guns took her out of the car and placed her under arrest. They said a child had been injured. They said my sister came over the boyfriends house became enraged and threw hot grease on the boyfriend and a 4 year old boy. My sister says that she knows nothing about any grease, and that could have happened after she left. The other girl was the one who called the police and the guy had taken the child to the hospital. My sister is currently the only one in jail and the state has picked up the case. My sister doesn't want to take a plea bargain because she says she did nothing wrong. The guy is not talking to anyone now.the girl's police report says the boy invited my sister in and introduced her to the girl then when my sister realized who the girl was she grew "enraged" and walked into the kitchen where the girl was picked up the skillet and threw it at the boy who was holding a little boy. then my sister put the pot back on the stove and left**************.now the girls police report doesn't make logical sense. If someone throws grease why would you politely put the pot back on the stove and no one stopped my sister from leaving? Now the girl didn't mention any fight taken place in her police report. How could my sister have picked up a hot skillet without having a burn mark on her palm? Everyone in the house had Grease on them except my sister. the girl had two spots one child's sweat shirt was covered but they had no injuries I don't know the boys side of the story but my sister whose never been in trouble is facing some serious time. How could the state prove my sister was the one to throw hot grease? and should she take a plea bargain even if she knows she didn't do it?
