Marietta, GA (only U.S. law)?

My sister went to her on/off again boyfriends house and another woman was there. while my sister was arguing with the boyfriend about the girl the girl comes up behind my sister and pulls her hair, my sister then turns around and begin fighting the girl. My sister said after the boyfriend broke the fight up, she left and went to a friend's house. the next morning when she went home two police officers with guns took her out of the car and placed her under arrest. They said a child had been injured. They said my sister came over the boyfriends house became enraged and threw hot grease on the boyfriend and a 4 year old boy. My sister says that she knows nothing about any grease, and that could have happened after she left. The other girl was the one who called the police and the guy had taken the child to the hospital. My sister is currently the only one in jail and the state has picked up the case. My sister doesn't want to take a plea bargain because she says she did nothing wrong. The guy is not talking to anyone now.the girl's police report says the boy invited my sister in and introduced her to the girl then when my sister realized who the girl was she grew "enraged" and walked into the kitchen where the girl was picked up the skillet and threw it at the boy who was holding a little boy. then my sister put the pot back on the stove and left**************.now the girls police report doesn't make logical sense. If someone throws grease why would you politely put the pot back on the stove and no one stopped my sister from leaving? Now the girl didn't mention any fight taken place in her police report. How could my sister have picked up a hot skillet without having a burn mark on her palm? Everyone in the house had Grease on them except my sister. the girl had two spots one child's sweat shirt was covered but they had no injuries I don't know the boys side of the story but my sister whose never been in trouble is facing some serious time. How could the state prove my sister was the one to throw hot grease? and should she take a plea bargain even if she knows she didn't do it?

Her Attorney could call in DR. HENRY LEE .

Seriously now , all it takes for an arrest is one or more sworn affidavits from witness(es) .

Proving it is another thing .

Oddly enough pans and skillets have handles that will not burn ones hands when picking them up .

Yes , even criminals do the right things sometimes in reference to putting the pan/skillet back on the stove .

A driver be pursued using the vehicles directional signals , as an example .

Was the alleged handed down an indictment by a grand jury ?

Thank You For Your Insight

Thank you so much...this is all new and still a big surprise to me.
As for "Was the alleged handed down an indictment by a grand jury ?"
I don't think so. My sister only court date she had was a bail reduction which was on Tuesday. They did not reduce her $220,000 bail because she was too much of a flight risk. so the judge says she can try again in 90 days. so her lawyer told me its not great news but at least the judge didn't revoke her chances to come back to another hearing. My mind is just racing about what exactly went on that night. I'm going to go home and re-enact the whole thing. Do you think some grease would have been on my sister? a drop or something? The way the girl is saying it all happened in the police report sounds like everyone in the house lined up and my sister went down the line throwing grease, and no one put their hands on her to try to stop her from hurting the kids. why wouldn't you try to protect your kids from all the craziness going on. I don't get it but your input is always greatly appreciated.

You can not re-inact it , you weren't there .

You are also getting your information second hand .

True that! you're right but Grease is a tricky consistency so I was just going to throw some and see if any would get on me! I guess I will wait for my sister's lawyers to get back to me. But why would the girl say my sister threw the grease and my sister says she didn't know about any grease throwing

Thanks Again!

I find it ODD that your sister's lawyer(s) are talking to you about the case .

But why would the girl say my sister threw the grease and my sister says she didn't know about any grease throwing

Because if your sister did it, the girl would say she threw the grease because she threw the grease, and your sister would say she "didn't know about any grease throwing" to try to stay out of trouble.

All the reasons you have posted here in defense of her innocence are pretty easily explained. She needs to listen very carefully to her attorney and take his advice, whatever that is.
