What is the name of your state? TX

My ex and I divorced 2 years ago and I was awarded the house. The mortgage is in his name because we couldn't use me as he had already ruined my credit (one reason we are divorced) the title is still in his name the only thing that has my name associated wtih it is the responsibility of the debt and possession of the house in the divorce decree. He has stopped paying my child support and I am now struggling to make the house payments so far so good. The house is currently up for sale but if it doesn't sell before my money runs out and I lose the house who's credit will be affected by it? Can they still tack it onto my credit even if my name isn't technically on anything? I'm thinking it will but if the mortgage company won't even allow me to get information about the note without my ex then how can they put this on my credit? My credit still isn't good to begin with but I'm trying to do the best I can to reapair it as much as possible and I don't want to add a house foreclosure to it.

I guess I failed to mention it is a double-wide, not a conventional house. The property itself is in my parents name so that is not an issue.

Sounds to me like he's the one who would be affected since it's his debt.

Good luck.
