What is the name of your state? WA

I raised this issue on another forum and got some good info and answers to my question albeit not totally answered.. therefore a follow up: My wife is in default on a credit card debt that is in her name only. Currently we have no joint assets, our "newer" car and associated loan in my name only. I removed myself from our formerly joint bank checking and saving accounts. I maintain a separate account. She is unemployed and on SSDI. i understand that if they sue and get a judgement against her that they could seize her accounts and any non-exempt property (nothing that I forsee). SSDI is untouchable on a CC debt. but the question that i didn't get the answer to was : can they get a garnishment on my wages?. WA is a community property state .TIA

Probably not. They would have to sue her in order to garnish or take anything and if your name was never on the account, its unlikley they would include you on the lawsuit should they file one.
