What is the name of your state? California
 I was woundering if anyone could please try to help me! I was arrested for trying to pass a fake check at Wal-Mart. When the police came I was very very cooperative with them because I knew that this was going to happen eventually because I was breaking the law, but being cooperative didn't seem to matter to them at all cause they still told me that "they didn't give a F*** about me! Thay also asked me if I had ever been arrested before and I told them No! At the time of my arrest I also had some additional blank checks and three fake ID's which were all in the same name. When the detective came he read me my rights and asked if I understood and I said kind of but not really, the reason I said this was because I didn't know if I should just cooperate interely with them and answer their questions or if I should just sit there and not say a word to them. I felt that if I didn't talk with them that they were going to be more mean to me than they already were being. So I asked if I could have a lawyer present here with me now and he said NO not until Monday. I thought that if I talked to them and was truthful with them that hopefully they wouldn't keep me all weekend and would let me call my husband. So I did end up talking to him a little bit and one thing he asked me was "did you try using any checks anywhere else" and I told him yes a couple other places. I know now that I should have just kept my mouth shut but it's to late now! Previous to this I had never been arrested or charged with anything. So my question is, Am I going to jail? And for about how long? If I am given jail time am I able to serve my time on house arrest or serve my time on weekends only? The reason I ask this is because I take care of the dad who is completly disabled. :( Thank You for your time

Give us the statute numbers you were charged under.

I was arrested for trying to pass a fake check at Wal-Mart....At the time of my arrest I also had some additional blank checks and three fake ID's which were all in the same name....So I did end up talking to him a little bit and one thing he asked me was "did you try using any checks anywhere else" and I told him yes a couple other places....

The above is your statement of facts deleting all the irrelevant stuff.

Q: So my question is, Am I going to jail?

A: I don't know; but you should be taken off the streets.

Q: And for about how long?

A: See answer to first question.

Q: If I am given jail time am I able to serve my time on house arrest or serve my time on weekends only? The reason I ask this is because I take care of the dad who is completly disabled.

A: You apparently do not care very much for your dad or you would've stayed out of trouble.

For multiple felonies like these you will probably do at least county time with a long probation term. Not to mention a rather hefty fine, restitution and and fees payment.

You don't seem to understand that you committed multiple felonies here! Even an attempt can be a felony! You cannot expect to get a slap on the wrist here. What you did was not an accident and you committed these crimes with your eyes wide open. The court is not going to have a lot of sympathy here.
