Hello. I am a UK citizen who met a wonderful man via social media, unfortunately he lives in the USA, we met 2 years ago and have fallen completely in love, we wish to marry and have him move over to the UK. We are both in out late 30s he has worked his whole life and does have savings, the thing is I have been diagnosed with savere anxiety disorder and agoraphobia and do not work at this time, I am on the mend and looking to get back to work, was just wondering what would be the best visa option for us, how much money do we need to have in order to do this? Does it fall on my income alone does it help if he has savings? And what would be the best option for him to be able to work right away? Sorry if my message is all over the place I just really don't know where to start with all this, ant help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

This question is not for the reason you probably will think it is.

Have you met in person? If so, when and how often?

There's great differences between UK and US immigration law. Your questions have to do with the UK, not the US. This board focuses on US law.

The reason I ask is that I have some familiarity with UK immigration laws when it comes to marriage visas, and they are going to want a great deal of documentation that this is a genuine marriage and not an attempt to bypass settlement immigration laws. I hope you have lots of pictures of the two of you together, and can provide lots of witnesses who have seen you together and can testify on your behalf. If you can't, you might want to hold off any attempt until you can.

Yes we have all of the above he's met my friends and family and we do have hundreds of pics of our time our times together, this is a genuine relationship that is why I needed the advice before just going to apply for visas, I don't want to do anything that can jeapordise us being together, wether it me him coming here or me going to the states. Thankyou for your response.
