What is the name of your state? NY
Is your employer supposed to deduct what they had to pay into workmans comp out of an employees salary? this person did not get injured. what happened is my dad is working for a small business owner and at the last minute this person was contacted by the dept of labor i guess and was told he had to make a 3000 dollar payment for workmans comp for my dad i guess in case he got hurt but doesnt this man get his money back if my dad stops working for him and doesnt get hurt..and is my fathers empooyer supposed to deduct these payments from my fathers pay?

It might be a good idea to call the labor board yourself or your dad,they can help you with any w/c issues and your state laws-they are there to help you -Good luck
