What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TX.

My company often hires hair stylists or massage therapists as independent contractors to work special events for our clients. Some of our clients have inquired about how protected these workers are, during the event. As an IC the workers sign a contract holding us and our client harmless, but is this enough?

I'm fairly certain that in Texas, IC's are not covered by workers comp insurance. Why don't you call your carrier to confirm this?
