Situation: On Monday at the job site I was stuck with a dirty needle and on Wednesday I was terminated. Since I was stuck with a dirty needle I was put on Anti-viral medications that need to be taken for one month and follow up exams are needed for one year following the injury.
Question: Can the employer stop the medications and follow up exams since I was terminated?
PLEASE ANSWER SOON.

Your right to workmans compensation coverage should not be interrupted due to your being unemployed. The right to coverage arose the moment you were injured and filed a claim with the workers compensation appeals board. But in order to make sure that your coverage and appropriate medical care is not interrupted or prevented, you need to immediately consult with a workers compensation attorney near you. By state law there fees are limited to a relatively low percentage such as 15%. Next, from what you wrote, it seems that your termination may have been due to your injured status. Thus, you may perhaps have a claim against the former employer for a wrongful termination based on medical condition or disability. However, to verify this, you will need to immediately consult with a different type of attorney. You will need to speak with a labor lawyer about this matter, because each state's laws are different. You can find these type of lawyers at attorneypages.com
