I was summons to court over a credit card account, what is the worst case if I don't go to court? I filing for chapter 7 as soos as I get tax return back to pay lawyor. What's the worst they can do since I am filing anyways?
my court date will be before I file, being called for I assume judgement, if I do go should I tell them I am filing? I feel if I do they will garnish my wages. If I dont go will they go ahead and garnish my wages?
Yes, if you don't go they get default judgment then can still garnish wages. It does no good to tell them you are 'fixing' to file except it will make them try harder to get what they can before you do.
