Depending on the dates of everything and specifically what you were 'called to court' for. They will get a judment, garnish wages, etc....

my court date will be before I file, being called for I assume judgement, if I do go should I tell them I am filing? I feel if I do they will garnish my wages. If I dont go will they go ahead and garnish my wages?

Yes, if you don't go they get default judgment then can still garnish wages. It does no good to tell them you are 'fixing' to file except it will make them try harder to get what they can before you do.
