What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

I had filed a grievance with my union after I had been terminated from my job. The union has yet to contact me about the progress of the grievance. They won't return my calls or emails, and it has been six months since the grievance had been filed. They won't even contact me to tell me to go to hell.

Can I expect to be successful in suing them for the return of my dues? If not, are there other ways that I can use to wake them up?

have you visited your union hall/office?

You can sue your union for failure to represent you. You can contact the level above your local and speak to the rep there that deals with your area.
