My husband and I are moving back to CA from IL. We wil be taking one of his children back with us. We were going to adjust child support accordingly, but ex-wife said that if we do that, she will take us back to court for an adjustment...husband is now making more $$ than when he left ex and would have to pay more for the 2 remaining children still living with ex. Now, she has re-mortgaged and re-financed the house for 30k in profit, half of which she owes husband. My question is, if I offer to NOT put a lien on her house for the 15k (as long as she does not take us back to court for child support adjustments) is this a legally binding document?
