We live in Washington State, my question is pertaining to my 17 yr old son.
My husband and I just returned from a 3 day trip and discovered my son had broke into our locked bedroom and took the keys for the vehicle we left at home and took it for a "joy ride" I will not allow my son to get his drivers license unless he brings his grades up. He has since our return decided to move out and live with his girlfriend. I am not objecting to him going, as I have had my limit of the alien that has taken over his body.
ok to the point, if my son drives one of his friends cars and god forbid somthing happens would my husband and I be liable financially? since he is not licensed nor insured.
I do not want to reward him for his poor decisions by getting him a drivers license but am very worried that those same poor decisions will end up bankrupting us.
