We were served with a writ of possesion to be out on July 28, 2004...we have been packing but it's just not enough time. We have been here for 10 years and we have been given only 30 days to get out...I have 3 children the youngest is only a year old....the new owner purchased the house at a sherriff sale in April and we were told they had forgotten about it and didn't pay for it until June. They are also now claiming that they have tried to collect rent from the tenants...they were never here until mid june and when rent was offered as an alternative to eviction it was refused. They are claiming that they have owned the house since April but from the information I got from the sherriffs dept. they did not get the title until June, how can they claim rent from April? We were served a WRIT OF POSSESIOn where the tenants were served with a notice to quit...is there a way to get some more time for us the previous homeowner...we are also awating a surplus from the sale of over 100,000...had they paid for the house in the time they were supposed to we would possible already have that money. If anyone knows of a good attorney that could help us please email it to me right away...we don't have much time left and I can't have our children on the streets with nowhere to go. there is more info to this as well, too much to write so please contact me ASAP!!!!
