I recently got a ticket for speeding and failure to show insurance. I signed the received the ticket from the officer. I later noticed that the date was incorrect on the ticket. The incident happends on Nov 2nd, but the ticket states Nov 1st. Can I fight this and If I do, what are my chances? The state I am in is Texas.

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

Nope, can't get out of it and the reason is:

most states allow for such minor mistakes that have little to do with the material traffic violation. Hence, if the person wrote the wrong violation-- you may have something.

But one day off and you SIGNED IT, no way.
