i live in NJ. i just recieved a speeding ticket. the officer wrote the wrong statute number on the summons. the statute should have been 39:4-98 he wrote 39:3-98. the statute number he wrote does not exist. is this automatic grounds for dismissal? if not how would i go about having it dismissed. would it be necessary to go to trial?
