Here's how it's done in Miami:

1.) Drive to down town

2.) Drive around looking for parking

3.) Find a spot and put money in the meter

4.) Walk six blocks to the courthouse

5.) Set off the metal detectors at least twice trying to get in

6.) Fill out the request form

7.) Stand in line for 10 minutes

8.) Get to the clerks' window in time to watch her go on break

9.) Stand in line for 10 minutes

10.) Turn-in your request form and be told that it will be 20 minutes before you'll get your file

11.) Wait 40 minutes until your name is called

12.) Listen to the clerk tell you that the file is in storage and it'll be ready on Wednesday at noon

13.) Walk six blocks to your car

14.) Pull the parking ticket off your windshield

On Wednesday repeat 1 through 11

12.) Get your file

13.) Look around for an empty seat

14.) Read your file...
