My husband and I fell victims to the newest witch hunt...child abuse. To make an extremly long and painfully story short...My son was hurt in November 2000 when swinging from a vine, he fell about 10 feet rendering him unconcious. I performed CPR and then a few minutes later mouth to mouth. He was transported to our hospital who found he had a subdural hematoma and an ileus, also his left lung was collapsed. They felt he need immediate emregency neurosurgical intervention so has him flown to CGCH in St. Luoius. When we arrived they said it was small enough to go away...He was released Dec 5th 2000 and then 3 months later after us taking him to and from his doctor for headaches, flu"like" syptoms, and then a loss of vision he was taken back to CGCH, who when we arrived put him on a regular diet (2/28/01) and the next day while eating breakfast with myself he held his stomach and screamed out in agonizing pain. They looked at him said it was probably his appendix and took him to surgery 3-4 hour later where they found he had a torn jejunium, they did not do anything about his eyes, and instead of fixing his papilledema (from not draining his hematoma in NOV) they let it get worse. Mind you I found none of this out until after they had terminated our rights... During al of this my sons father (my ex-husband) was killed by a train, my ex-inlaws requested for more to give them his custody rights when I refused they took me to court. My son was given to them...they are heavily politically tied into the county and Springfield, and Washington. They have now come for my husband with 2 felony charges..We have doctors who have looked over the records and say and will testify to the fact that what happened is anpbvious medical malpractice suit. The thing is my son after being with my ex-inlaws started to come up with "stories" we tried for a taint hearing, but Illijois doedn;t have any case law for that. So we filed for a suppresion hearing and requested a neuropsychological evaluation which was granted...When they took him they wanted to sit in and the Psychologist would not alow becasue it would taint the results. Whe we went to court about it they filed for a motuion to strike our suppression hearing. The judge granted that they didi not have to do the evalaution and we are now about to have a date for the motion to strike. WE are lloking for case law to support our suppresion or taint hearing and are coming up with nothing but in limine which is pretty much worthless. My husband is guilty of one thing and that is being a real dad to my son and loving him. I am in need of any advice please help. We are up against some of the most politically tiedin people , she worked at the states attorney office for years,and there is a long list of other things but I am trying to be brief...HELP ME PLEASE my husbands life depends on it!
