X-Girlfriend Debt

My X-Girlfriend owes me $25K+. We split over a year ago & I haven't received a dime. Should I pursue this in a series of claims through Small Claims Court or as 1 Civil Suit & consider hiring an attorney?

Furthermore, she moved in with her parents after our split & is not paying rent. Can her parents claim her as a dependent & if so can I include her parents in my claim? I have some concern on her ability to pay me back in a timely manner.

Then what's the point of suing her ?
If you must,...you need to file a civil action for the entire $25k.
Why on Earth would you think that her parents are part of this ??
